Dr. Kim Sage is a licensed clinical psychologist, (#29089) who holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Psy. D., and a Master's degree in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy (MFCC/MFT) and who believes each person should be treated as a whole human being, and therefore their challenges should be seen as parts of a whole, and not judged to be what defines them. Anxiety or depression, or any other psychological responses, are seen as outcomes of aspects of a person's life, genetics or environment which may be in need of modification, treatment or support- and such psychological issues are not seen as definitions of a person. Dr. Sage specializes in treating adults, as well as children and adolescents, on issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem and worthiness, relationship issues/couples therapy, and parenting. Dr. Sage believes that therapy is a sacred relational experience requiring highly personalized treatment. Dr. Sage utilizes theories which include CBT, Attachment/Psychodynamic, EMDR, Play Therapy, Neuroscience, Positive Psychology and Psychobiological modalities to help her clients create lives defined by love, resilience, authenticity and vitality. Dr. Sage teaches and encourages her clients of all ages to use Mindfulness techniques, which include meditation and guided imagery to increase well-being, self-awareness and gratitude. With a heart and passion for helping others, Dr. Sage believes each individual deserves the tools, access, healing, knowledge and advocacy to enhance and create a beautiful mind and beautiful life.
Dr. Sage also hosts MOODY w/ DR. SAGE, a live weekly radio talk show and podcast on Monday evenings at 8pm on KX 93.5 FM in Laguna Beach. MOODY w/ DR. SAGE is a show about our moods, our minds and our real lives. Topics focus on all things therapy related- from relationships to love, sex, secrets, children and parenting, friendships, career, and life in general. In 2015, Dr. Sage also hosted "Loved," a live internet radio talk show on KX 93.5.
